Three decades of cross-border project work have left me with one thing above all: the people I've had the privilege to live and work with. Collaborating with experts from many different countries and cultures has left countless memories. I got to learn a great deal and gather valuable experience. We accomplished big things. But often it was the small moments that left the deepest mark — a kind gesture, a chance encounter.
The real substance of the work — and the reason it's rarely boring. There's little more rewarding than people reaching a goal together. The path there is rarely easy, which is exactly why it's worth it.
